New York pub crawls: Because your regular drinking dens are like following the spin-dry cycle

The Fall Crawl – Brooklyn – October 21st, 2006

That’s right GPCers! Our first crawl in Brooklyn – BOCOCA to be more neighborhoodie (Boerum Hill/Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens). This is a crawl we’ve wanted to roll out for awhile and we hope to get the last of the good summer weather this weekend for this Smith St. run. There’s only 8 bars on this tour as we’ve left it open to experience to see if we like any we hit to stay longer, or pass by and go back to ones that look like we should have hit.

We’re going to start at 2PM on Smith St. at Apartment 138 – known for their game room of foos (Mike we up for rematch!), pool, juke, and arcade and well it does feel a little homie (much more than APT in Manhattan). We’re looking to hit 8 bars on this round, ending at the Brooklyn Social Club – which actually was an old school Italian “social club”. Ending around 12 ya’ll should have ample time to go hit more Brooklyn hotspots or join others back in LES to keep going…

For those of you coming out from Manhattan, you’re best bet is to take the F-Train out to the the Bergen St Exit. We’ll end up at the south end of the street and ya’ll can stick around or head back up to the main island at the F-Train Carroll St Station (near intersection of President St and Smith St). Here’s the list of bars we’ll be hitting, the map and the print out for future reference when you just can’t remember the next stop.

Be safe have fun and I’d say extra credit for those that decide to dress up a week early, I’m sure a few people will look to get you some free drinks… Cheers!
