Only the serious are ugly
Well we’re a little disappointed with the support and results of the ugly crawl. Those who supported the ugly sweater were those who stayed through the entire crawl (even hitting bars others skipped – boo!). Our winner this year is Russell!
I think Dress Barn needs their sweater back dude! Job well done.
We started the day out at Zum taking in a few litters of Warzburger and Hofbrauhaus as well as pints of Augustiner Edelstoff. We met up with some additional crawlers, one celebrating the holidays with their own portable christmas tree.
We spent so much time at Zum, most skipped out on Manitoba, how ever the die hards didn’t loose out.
While some got lost on the way to Cherry Tavern, which conveniently was closed today for immediate renovations (we missed those $4 Tequila And Tecate Combos!), most went on to ACE for some gaming and a bar room classic game of Buck Hunter. ACE also has a serious collection of Lunch Boxes…almost everyone found one to associate themselves with.
Mo Pitkins is a great after work spot but didn’t fulfill much for the pubcrawl group and we moved on to an old Vegas favorite of mine, and new NY transplant: Double Down Saloon. All attendees did partake in some ass juice shots and we all enjoyed a ride on the tavern pony after watching some porn.
d.b.a. was another spot was lost some crawlers… might have been the appropriate time for people to fill up on eats (cheating). Although it was early I can see this bar getting warmed up a little later on in the evening. Skipping around the corner we took over most of the bar at Edge, a great neighborhood bar with pool, darts, great strong drinks and cool peeps. Again, can’t recall who won the darts games, someone started buying shots and screwing with our levels of intoxication…
Dempsey’s Pub is a great spot and the party started to get out of control then (it’s still 10:30 PM!)
Moving forward the crawl just continued on to R Bar for the free for all… Great time out, having new attendees from as far south as Florida and remote as London. Check out the rest of the pictures here and we’ll see you in January!
