Sake it to me Baby!

Most get introduced to sake via “bombs” or just as a compliment to sushi at your favorite Japaneses fish spot. Sake, is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made from rice, is some what elegant and romantic, and is a great flexible wine option served up warm or cold. One of my classic favorites is Decibel in east village, a no sign basement sake joint serving up a mix of milky and clear goodness. Lan is an option with a small selection of sake and a half price per bottle on Monday and an excellent tasting menu to complement. Sasabune in upper east side is a higher end Japanese option with great omakase to go with the never ending sake. Last option, but certainly not the least, is Sakagura in Midtown east, which has more than 200 sakes, make sure to eat along the way.
